Galaxy S4 Wallpapers for Samsung Galaxy Y in One App

madz13 from xda-developers has shared a custom app he made that contains the Galaxy S4 wallpapers. This is not some zip file that you extract and paste the image files to your sdcard but you install this apk, and it creates a shortcut on your Wallpapers popup when you long-press on your homescreen which gives a much quicker access than manually browsing the images through the gallery to set them as wallpapers.

This app contains 7 wallpapers that get installed. The installation is very simple, basically you just install the apk like you install any app and you are done.

How to Boot Samsung Galaxy Y in Safe Mode (Video)

There are times your Galaxy Y may start causing you problems such as hangs at certain points, apps force-closing, not allowing you to move forward and so on after installing a faulty app.
If you didn't know, Android can also be booted into Safe Mode just like how you boot your Windows PC and the main point of it is of course for troubleshooting issues. Thanks to Safe Mode, you will be able to uninstall unresponsive apps and fix your phone.

[SCRIPT] Bloatware Remover for Samsung Galaxy Y (List added)

xXx~~~SHLOK~~~xXx from xda-developers has released this neat zip file that removes all of the bloatware for you within seconds.

What is bloatware?
Bloatware is basically apps that come installed from the factory which may not be of much use for you. I've read and seen many people being upset because of the huge amount of apps we get that come by default with the Samsung Galaxy Young. Especially the rom developers, they need space in the system partition for other custom system apps and not only that, but bloatware can come in the way of the phone's performance such as having too many useless apps running in the background taking up memory.
Most of the apps are assigned as system apps and cannot be removed without having a rooted phone, you would need to use apps such as Titanium Backup to uninstall each of them manually.

What exactly does this do?
What this zip file contains is a simple updater-script and nothing else. In the updater-script you will find some basic commands which remove specific apk files aswell as odex files (if your rom is odexed). The script does not contain any commands to fix permissions or anything of the sort so beware that after flashing this and when you try to install one of the removed apps again in the future, it will force-close. For that, simply go to advanced menu in CWM Recovery and wipe dalvik cache and then choose the Fix permissions option.
Caution:
It is possible you may be unhappy with the aftermath of using this script as it deletes a lot of apps and cleans the phone as much as it can. Please do make a nandroid backup of your rom incase you want to go back. You have been warned, please refrain from insultive comments.

Agent Dash ARMv6 Fixed for Samsung Galaxy Y

It's been a while since you have seen a game posted on this blog, we've decided to share games only when it's important a.k.a. only when a specific game has been patched or a very important game to the fans has been ported, etc.

So apparently this game has had problems running on the Samsung Galaxy Young in the past, I personally have never installed nor played this game on my Y but it is said that this game used to have pixel problems at some kind of shooting part. I did notice a shooting part in the beginning of this game when I tested and it managed to get past that part.

Theawesomeguy4 from xda-developers shared this "fixed" version of the game but without providing any information on who did these touches, he admitted it wasn't him but didn't give out any information on the person who did. Once we find out, credits will be given.

Download the game: Click here.

Regarding the GYA ROM

Quite a few people were excited about the GYA ROM and kept sending comments on any vid they choose about it aswell as e-mails and once the word about one coming out and after seeing it (barely half done) in action on a few videos, it got even bigger.
Progress and information then stopped coming for quite some time and I am now making this post to explain the reasons and think of possible solutions to finish this.

I absolutely have no time lately to do anything with improving this rom, not even replacing a background image and testing because of the time a few of my other projects need aswell as real life issues, it gets too much. John Paolo Desuasiado aswell won't have the time to make a fabulous rom in such a short time all by himself, it requires a few more people to make something really good.

For this I am making an offer to whoever wants to make a decent rom out of this to try and contribute (if you have free time of course) and have this rom finished for the fans to enjoy.

The requirements are simple, to understand what some system files are used for, how to modify certain things in them to have visual changes of the system's UI, etc.

If you wish to contribute you can contact us by simply leaving a comment here, on the YouTube video or best, send an e-mail where you have all the free text space you need:
